About Mycardirect

Mycardirect has built its reputation on valuing the importance of every customer. The group was founded in 1997 and is now a leading provider of bespoke vehicle solutions and business services. The head office is based in Hemel Hempstead, with locations also in Cambridgeshire, Milton Keynes and Birmingham, making mycardirect available right across the UK (also see our interview with the CEO).

From one month to two years and multiple options in-between, mycardirect full range of vehicles and subscription lengths will ensure you always have the car that suits your needs.

How it works

Click through 4 decisions and you are ready to have your car delivered to your home. Thanks to mycardirect’s dedicated automated system, the entire process can be as quick as three business days. Once the necessary documents have been filled out, a delivery date can be agreed. Customers have the choice to either receive their new car via home delivery or to collect from one of mycardirect’s locations.* The longer you subscribe the more you save.

Our insurance is powered by the Wagonex fully automated insurance engine. The platform gets to know you through the customer journey so that once you get to the insurance questionnaire, they only need a few more pieces of information to give you an instant quote. You are able to use your personal no-claims discount (NCD) to reduce the monthly premium (as long as you are not already using it on another policy) and continue to build your personal NCD as you drive with us.

Alternatively, you are free to use your own insurance. You simply need to provide us with an up to date cover note from your insurer. Each repair is carried out in accordance with recognised industry standards and guaranteed for at least 5 years. All parts are approved by vehicle manufacturers.

Costs and fees

Mycardirect offer cars from just £269 pm for a Citroen C3 PureTech Flair. With mycardirect there is a refundable deposit required. The price of the deposit is dependent on the vehicle value. The refundable deposit comes out on signed agreement and monthly subscription/admin fee is made on delivery. Your second payment will occur one calendar month after the delivery/pick up date of the vehicle, and this will become your contract renewal date.

Mycardirect has access to a large fleet of cars, so if you have your eye set on a specific vehicle, contact the MCD team to discuss your vehicle preference and they will gladly help.

Notice periods

If you are on a mycardirect rolling monthly plan, then the minimum required period to keep each vehicle is one month. Please give mycardirect at least one week’s notice before the contract renewal date if you would like to switch vehicles for the following month.
If you are on a 3-month plan or longer and would like to switch cars, please get in touch and mycardirect can discuss what options are available to you.

If you are on a rolling monthly plan and would like to return your vehicle before the start of the next month, just let us know a week before your contract renewal date. If you are on a long-term plan, mycardirect will be in touch in your penultimate month to discuss your options. If you wish to cancel before the end of your subscription, please contact the team service via .

Mycardirect offers a wide range of subscription lengths, from 1 to 24 months, making them highly flexible. If you are after a specific car, simply contact mycardirect via and they will gladly help. Roadside assistance and full maintenance are included with every vehicle and is part of your monthly price. Mycardirect takes away the stress of unplanned costs and gives you a bubble of safety.

When you have a car through mycardirect you will have an accompanying contract which will show that you are the beneficial owner of the car. This will allow you to obtain the relevant resident parking permit.

Mycardirect subscriptions come with roadside assistance, road tax, service, and maintenance. The fully automated and tailormade personal insurance is optional and worth asking the Wagonex team for details. If opting to provide your own insurance, just share your certificate with the mycardirect team. With mycardirect there is no need to waste time filling out multiple forms or visiting different companies. They cover it all, with the paperwork being emailed to you and signed digitally.
