Mobiliti is a car subscription company that was established in 2019. It offers monthly subscriptions to a range of vehicles through partnering with dealerships across the US. Because of this, prices, mileages and vehicle availability depend on exact location. The service is available to anyone over the age of 21, other than in exceptional circumstances.
Mobiliti also actively advertize for new partner dealers, and offer customers the chance to switch, upgrade or cancel on a monthly basis. There is also the option to buy the subscription vehicle, depending on location and partner dealer.
How it works
Mobiliti’s service is app-based, with subscriptions in partnership with local dealerships in your region.
- Verify your account by going through the necessary driver and ID checks. Mobiliti require approved credit in your name, a valid credit card and mobile phone, as well as an approved driver record.
- Choose a subscription length and partner dealer
- Arrange to pick up your car
- Pause, upgrade, flip, extend or downgrade or cancel at the end of your term. Arrange to drop the vehicle off at the relevant partner dealer
There is also the option to buy your car at the end of the subscription term, depending on the dealership’s terms.
Cost and fees
Other than a refundable security deposit, which varies, subscriptions start at around $500 per month. The longer the subscription term you sign up for, the cheaper the monthly cost.
Other costs, such as excess mileage, vary by dealer and location. Insurance is included in the subscription cost, with a personal liability of $2500, though this can be reduced by opting into a monthly payment when you arrange to pay the security deposit.
Brands and models
As Mobiliti work by partnering with a range of dealerships, the range of vehicles available depends on your location and how far you are willing to travel to collect and return your vehicle. However, they aim to offer a range of sedans, SUVs, cars and trucks wherever possible, all of which are under warranty.
