About Kyte

Kyte is a car subscription service with multiple vehicles across the Economy, Sedan and SUV ranges, as well as the Tesla Model 3, with 3, 6 or 12-month extendable terms. Customers can get their vehicle delivered to them, with everything included except electricity, and a range of mileage packages. Currently, the service is available in 14 locations across the US. Subscriptions are available to anyone over the age of 25 (varies by state) who passes Kyte’s verification requirements, and the terms include roadside assistance, insurance, regular scheduled maintenance and the option to extend by 30 days at a time.

Kyte’s subscription service is quick and simple.

  • Cancel at any time with 2 weeks’ notice, or extend by 30 days at a time at the end of your contract

Cost and fees

Kyte charges a $199 non-refundable activation fee when you first sign up. The subscription contracts are on a sliding scale, with 3, 6 and 12-month contracts available. Economy contracts start at $519 per month, and you can customize your mileage package, with $0.35 per mile for exceeding this limit.

Notice periods

Irrespective of the contract you decide to go with, cancellation is available with 48 hours’ notice before your renewal date. For early cancellation, you will be charged the next higher rate for the full term for which you have had the vehicle (e.g., if you booked at the 6 month rate, but then cancel after 4 months, you will be charged the 3 month rate for the 4 months. You’ll be responsible for any difference between rates before cancellation can be arranged.

What’s Special about Kyte?

Kyte offers customers a range of vehicles to cover most budgets, but the Tesla Model 3 is the jewel in their metaphorical crown, although this is increasingly an option across rival subscription companies as the world moves more towards EVs and Hybrids. There is quite wide coverage with 14 locations served, and the delivery and collection service is helpful.

Do you need insurance for Kyte?
Yes, you will need to arrange insurance. You can either do this independently, or select one of Kyte’s insurance products. The Kyte Collision Damage Waiver carries a deductible of $1000.
