About Simplr

Simplr is a subscription company with over 2000 cars to choose from, on one of three monthly plans, with minimum terms as low as 30 days. You choose the plan, add the car (and its cost) on top, then drive on a 30-day minimum subscription, with the option to switch your car at 90 days’ notice (or for a cost on the lowest tier). Customers can sign up, arrange collection, then drive until their return date, with the option to purchase at the end of the term. The service is available to over 21-s with a P2 license as a minimum and no convictions in the last five years.

How Simplr works

Simplr’s motto is “Select, Collect, Smile”. Your subscription includes insurance (with variable excesses available), breakdown with National Roadside Assist, and maintenance. Included in the breakdown cover are:

  • Breakdown & Flat Tyre Repair
  • Jump Start & Battery Replacement
  • Towing
  • Emergency Fuel
  • Accident Response

What is special about Simplr?

With a tiered subscription offering that allows you to have a car for as short a period of time as 30 days, Simplr are a true short-term subscription service.

Their insurance and breakdown packages are comparable with the competition, but what sets Simplr apart is the sheer range of vehicles available to customers, with over 2000 cars in their inventory. You can use an automatic or a manual, with used and demo vehicles ranging from everyday cars to more high-end vehicles, meaning there is something for every budget and lifestyle.

There are as yet no YouTube videos to accompany Simplr’s subscription service.

Social media

Simplr do not currently have a social media account.

Simplr’s lowest tier starts at just $159 per week, making it accessible to most budgets, although the setup fee and security deposit means that the initial outlay is on the higher side in the Australian car subscription market.

The service is designed to be easy to use with plenty of flexibility, and customers have all the standard benefits (insurance, maintenance, breakdown) that you should expect from a quality subscription offering. Overall, the range of vehicles will be the main draw to customers of all budgets.
