Roam is a simple, website subscription service that offers drivers in Ontario the chance to drive one of 80+ car models on plans starting at 1 month. They offer one of the largest fleets of car subscription vehicles across Ontario. Roam can deliver the vehicles depending on your location, and the service is available throughout Ontario.

How it works

Roam users start by visiting the website, verifying their license & account through their dashboard, and then choosing their vehicle of choice, delivery option and subscription length. Roam doesn’t check your credit score, but if you have a finance freeze or owed debt to your name, you won’t be able to use the service.

• You must have a valid G driver license in Ontario.
• You must be at least 23 years of age.
• You can’t have any major criminal convictions or moving violations.
• You can’t have more than 1 at-fault accident in the past 3 years

Costs and fees

Roam customers pay a $149 lifetime membership fee and a refundable security deposit of $1000, which is refunded back at the end of the subscription term. The base mileage package starts at 2000km, with plan options to customize up to 3000km at the start of the subscription for those who need to use the car for longer distances or times. Roam also provides useful addons, including secondary driver’s, and valet delivery.

The cost of subscription starts at $771, with a rolling month-to-month contract coming into effect if you wish to keep the vehicle for more than 3 months.

Notice periods

Where is Roam available?
Roam is currently available in Toronto, though the company also operates in Miami in the US, and is coming soon to Austin, Texas, so there is the possibility of more locations in Canada being served in future.

Can I get delivery?
Roam can arrange delivery within the predetermined Toronto radius, with deliveries further afield accessible through their Valet service. This will cost extra.

When can I cancel my subscription?
The initial commitment to Roam is 30 days, but after this period has lapsed, you can cancel at any time simply by giving 7 days’ notice.

Can I swap my car?
Roam do offer vehicle swaps with notice. To arrange this, just contact the team and they will assist you.

Does my subscription include insurance?
All Roam subscriptions include insurance. It is comprehensive and they provide all the relevant paperwork so you can see the terms and conditions.
